DESCRIPTION The heritage hotel, known as the Divnić Palace, was built in the 16th century, and the palace underwent its first serious renovation in the 19th century. As with many buildings located in old city centers, the facades of the Divnić Palace bear witness to different development phases, from the early Gothic to the nineteenth century. It was precisely in the middle of the nineteenth century that the painter A. Zuccaro decorated the ceiling and walls of the first-floor music salon with medallions and floral motifs. The center of the ceiling is adorned with a luxurious rosette bordered with gold-colored decorations. The staircase in the palace has a fine leafy border, while the roof has a carved stone acroterium, a decoration located at the junction of the roof ridges. On the western facade of the palace there is a tall corner column (up to the level of the third floor) with the coat of arms of the Divnić family above the capital. On the southern facade on the ground floor there is a Gothic-Renaissance portal with the coat of arms of the Divnić family (the main entrance to the building), on the first floor there are two Renaissance windows and on the second floor a Renaissance triforium. The Divnić Palace as such is the crown of the then advanced visions in architecture and interior design and represents a trace of the golden age of Šibenik's financial, intellectual and cultural history, which indicates that this property has great cultural, national and material value.
