Agricultural land with a view of the lake

Buzet is located in the very north of Istria, near the border with Slovenia. Its historical core, which dates back to the Middle Ages, lies on top of a hill above the fertile valley of Istria's longest river, the Mirna. Today, Buzet is widely known a s the 'City of Truffles' because the forests along the Mirna River are particularly rich in this divine tuber. As part of the town of Buzet, at 348 meters above sea level, rises the small town of Roč, a destination for many hikers, tourists and lovers of history and the Glagolitic alphabet.
