Growing demand for garages in Serbia

Recent supercell storms that have damaged numerous vehicles have caused car owners to rethink a safer place for their tin pets.

In Belgrade, there has been a fight for garage spaces for a long time, and the recent supercell storms that damaged numerous vehicles forced car owners to think again about a safer place for their tin pets, writes N1 television.

If you want to buy a garage space in Belgrade, you will have to spend at least 9,000 euros, which is the cheapest price offered in the ads, near Fontana in New Belgrade.

In the rest of New Belgrade, you cannot find a garage space cheaper than 15,000 euros. And it is difficult, by the way, to park a car in the capital for less than 10,000 euros, for which, for example, you can buy a garage space in Zemun's Upper Town. The cheapest garage space in Zvezdara, which can be found in advertisements on the Internet, costs 14,400 euros (in Živka Davidovića Street), and for the same price you can buy the cheapest garage space offered in Karaburma (in Sime Šolaje Street).

The cheapest parking space in Voždovac costs 15,000 euros, in Vojvode Stepe Street or in Braće Jerković.

In Vračar, the cheapest garage space is sold in Cerska street, also for 15,000 euros. The cheapest garage space in the city center can be found on Gundulićevo venac for 24,000 euros. The most expensive garage space in Belgrade that is offered in advertisements costs 43,850 euros and is located in Jurija Gagarina Street in New Belgrade.

In the ads, several garage spaces are offered in one space, so five garage spaces in the new building, in Jurija Gagarina Street, can be bought for 105,000 euros, while in the garage of the new complex near Kalemegdan, four boxes with two parking spaces each can be bought for 70,000 euros. Buying garage spaces "in a package" is not a surprise, given that many have made good money renting them. The monthly prices for renting garage spaces in the ads range from 80 euros in the outskirts of the city to 200 euros in Dorćol.

Let us remind you that last year, according to the data of the Republic Geodetic Institute (RGZ), 17,926 garage spaces were sold in Serbia, of which 13,002 garage spaces, 1,622 garage spaces and 3,302 parking spaces outside the building. When it comes to the share in the total number of sales of garage spaces, the largest share of 51 percent is in the area of the city of Belgrade, poslovni.hr reports.
